Silence has been
described as the doorway to God's light within. Summer at
JRH is a time for Individually Directed Quiet Retreats with
a dedicated Spiritual Director.
This retreat will provide opportunities to journey
with Mary and appreciate how she companions us
throughout the various stages and phases of our lives,
leading us to a deeper relationship with her beloved son.
Sr. Mary Ann Spangler, HM, will faciliate
this peace-filled day of retreat. Cost is $25, lunch

in their first six years of marriage

This peer-led retreat is a unique
opportunity for couples in their first 6 years of marriage
to kick back and enjoy some downtime.In a friendly atmosphere,
couples will reflect on their love with one another, learn
about how they communicate, and dream about the difference
their love will make in the world.Young adult couples Emily
& Jonathan McFadden and Janel & Ed Molnar will facilitate
the day.Cost is

Power of One -Singlelife as Vocation

Being single is a fulfilling vocation –and one that more
Americans are choosing each day. Using material from Gary
Chapman’s
Five Love Languages for Single Persons,
and Mark E. Thibodeaux, S.J.’s
God’s Voice Within,
this retreat will focus on ways that single persons find
joy, discern commitments, and change the world with
passionate purpose.Cost
is $15/person.Refreshments and Mass will
be included in the day.

Teaching is a calling to follow the example of Jesus, our
Teacher, in nourishing the minds and hearts of students, that
they may flourish. With this in mind, all teachers are invited
to come to Jesuit Retreat House on any of the dates listed above
to rekindle their sense of calling through a day of recollection
and spiritual renewal.
Whether your classroom is in a public or parochial setting, you
will find space in this day to renew your soul for mighty call
you are living!
Bring your staff, or come on your own, and get in the right
spirit for the new school year through reflection and
conversation. The day retreat includes time for presentations,
lunch, individual prayer, and staff discussions.

limited number of weekday and weekend openings.
Weekend bookings require a minimum of 30 people.
Weekday bookings are flexible and can accommodate small

Typical group reservations

Rahner SJ declares that “each of us is an event of the free,
absolute, and radical self-communication of God.” We are all
created “happenings of God.” This retreat will focus on this
truth through the teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.
About the Retreat Facilitator.
Sr. Mary Ann Wiesemann-Mills is a member of the Dominican
Sisters ofPeace.
She received training as a retreat/spiritual director at the
Jesuit Renewal Center in Milford, OH and continues to serve as
both a spiritual director and retreat preacher as time allows.
